Kurt Tillman is one of our partners at Cedarstone. Kurt's role in Cedarstone Partners focuses on foundation and nonprofit programming, communication, and development. Kurt earned his B.A. in Social Science from Wheaton College in 1978 and his M.A. in American History from Northern Illinois University in 1987. Kurt's professional background includes twenty years in education as well as serving as program director for a private foundation since 2000. He has been involved at both the staff and board level with nonprofit organizations since 1994.

Kurt and his wife, Meg, have three children. Kurt travels to Eastern Europe regularly for consulting and education purposes.

David Sveen is the President of Cedarstone Partners, Inc. Dr. Sveen earned his BS in Business from Northern Illinois University in 1978 and his MBA from DePaul University in 1986. In 1994 he earned his MA in Educational Ministries from Wheaton Graduate School and in 2004 his Ph.D. in Theological Education from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

His professional background includes thirteen years in senior management with investment banking firm Griffin , Kubik, Stephens and Thompson, as well as an adjunct assistant professorship of Christian Formation and Ministry at Wheaton College since 1995. Dr. Sveen also coordinates the Summer Tutorial Program for Central and Eastern European Scholars and Christian Leaders at Wheaton College.

In 1993, he founded Cedarstone Partners, Inc. and currently oversees its consulting practice. He serves as a trustee of the Domanada Foundation, and also serves as a board member for International Sports Ministry and the Trust Company of Illinois.

Dave and his wife, Kriste, have five children and make their home in Wheaton , Illinois . He enjoys skiing in the winter and competing in triathlons in the summer.

Terry Williams is our Vice President of Consulting Services. He earned his B.S. in Mathematics at the University of Illinois in 1981 and his MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management in 1986.

Terry brings a wealth of experience in non-profit management, development, and boards having served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for International Teams and President for Integra Ventures. He has also served as a director for the boards of Resourcing Christian Education International, International Teams and his church. Terry is a member and has served on the board of the Chicago Chapter of the Christian Management Association, now called the Christian Leadership Alliance.

Terry is married with two children. He enjoys travel and participating in various sports. He has coached youth soccer and basketball teams, loves Chicago sports teams, and suffers as a “die-hard Cubs fan.”

     Lisa Fowler manages client support for our consulting team. She has worked with Cedarstone for four years in a variety of roles in both administration and accounting. Lisa graduated from Wheaton College with a BA in Business and Economics. She has experience in management services from her time with ServiceMaster, as well as in sales and trading with Griffin , Kubik, Stevens, and Thompson.

     Lisa came to Cedarstone in 2004 after spending seventeen years raising her four children, Kyle, Trent, Paige and Jordan with her husband, Eric. She enjoys reading, going to local sports games, and anything active that takes her outside—including running, biking, tennis and hiking.
